GOP Sen.: I Haven’t Seen Sexism, Gillibrand Should Name Names
In her upcoming book, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand says male senators (whom she didn’t name) made some sexist comments to her concerning her weight. Well, now one GOP senator says she should just come out and name names.
Newsmax TV’s Steve Malzberg asked Senator Ron Johnson about Gillibrand leveling these accusations. Johnson said, “Quite frankly, I’ve never seen that behavior in the United States Senate. I mean, it’s actually a pretty collegial place, pretty professional.”
And furthermore, he said, if Gillibrand is going to say something like that she should name names. He explained, “If you’re gonna throw around those kind of accusations, you ought to give people a chance to defend themselves.”
