GOP Sen. Sasse Warns Senate Republican Campaign Committee Against Supporting Roy Moore

Senator Ben Sasse (R- NE) sent a warning to the National Republican Senatorial Committee that if they offer support to Roy Moore, he’ll withdraw from it.
Sasse has expressed great disdain over Moore, given the serious allegations against him, and he’s not happy about the RNC’s “bad decision” to give money to his campaign:
This is a bad decision and very sad day. I believe the women–and RNC previously did too. What’s changed? Or is the party just indifferent? https://t.co/sNCiQbOgIg

This sends a terrible message to victims: “It’s not that the party won’t believe you if you come forward. It might. But just doesn’t care.” https://t.co/uN8nsPfCBU

A political party must be about more than expediency. To have any future, a party must have some fundamental convictions and commitments. https://t.co/uN8nsPfCBU

And then he sent this warning to the NRSC:
If the political committee that I’m a part of (the NRSC) decides to contribute here, I will no longer be a donor to or fund-raiser for it. https://t.co/uN8nsPfCBU

Per CNN, Sasse also told reporters today, “It’s pretty obvious that these political parties stink. They are terrible. The American people aren’t impressed with these parties. They don’t think they have their long term future interest at heart and we shouldn’t keep pretending that there is some sort of binary choice that’s gonna fix this. More people should stand up and admit that these choices are terrible.”
