Hacked? LAPD Twitter Account Sent Out ‘lapdWHITE SUPREMACISTS’ Message

The LAPD’s Twitter account for some reason posted a message that read “lapdWHITE SUPREMACISTS” today.

Yikes.

Per ABC7, the tweet was up for a few minutes before being taken down.

It’s unclear exactly what happened, whether it was a hack or if it was an error –– ABC7 reports officials said this was “not posted by staff” –– but they later tweeted this out:

We are aware that our #LAPD account was compromised and are taking the proper steps to resolve this issue.
