Hillary Clinton Turns NY Post Gossip Hit About ‘Posh’ Restaurant Visit Into Viral Vaccine PSA

2016 popular vote winner and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton turned lemons into lemonade when she used a snarky New York Post article about her visit to a “posh” restaurant as a public service message to encourage vaccinations.

The conservative paper published an item featuring papparazzi photos of Secretary Clinton enjoying herself at a “posh” restaurant this week:

The former secretary of state was seen using two hands to down a big glass of white wine at a posh Upper East Side restaurant Tuesday evening.

Clinton was enjoying her beverage as she waited at Fleming by Le Bilboquet on 62nd Street near Madison Avenue for her hubby, Bill, and some pals, including rocker Sting’s wife, Trudie Styler, to arrive.

The 73-year-old former Democratic presidential nominee got to the chic eatery with a team of Secret Service protection around 6:30 p.m., and didn’t wait long before her ex-president hubby showed up and took a few selfies with fans before sitting down at their table, according to the Daily Mail.

The former president was dressed in a blue suit with a checkered button-down shirt and no tie, while his wife wore a three-quarter-length striped coat.

The paper tweeeted out the story, and wrote “Bill and Hillary Clinton spotted at posh NYC restaurant with friends,” and posting several photos from the article.

The tweet garnered fewer than 200 retweets.

But Clinton turned the story into a viral hit when she tweeted a screenshot of the NY Post tweet along with the message “Get vaccinated. Then get a glass of wine with your friends,” with a wine glass emoji.

That tweet racked up thousands of replies and retweets, and around a hundred thousand likes. But unfortunately for the Post, Hillary didn’t include a link to the story.
