Hulk Hogan’s Fan Retweets Are, Uh, Kinda Sorta Racist
Despite his firing from the WWE for leaked audio from a legal deposition in which he repeatedly used racial slurs, ex-wrestler Hulk Hogan has kept his head up. He issued a formal apology soon after the news of his termination broke, and his daughter Brooke Hogan even wrote a lovely, grade school-esque poem defending him. Hell, even Gawker’s ongoing media debacle was helping a brother out!
Unfortunately for the Hulkster, he didn’t stop there. Instead, he went to Twitter on Sunday night and began retweeting bits of fan support. Most are harmless, but a few fall into one of two varieties, as pinpointed by Uproxx Sports.
The first involves African-American fans who still support Hogan. “Wait a minute,” says the implied argument. “Since we’re Black or have Black friends, and we still like the Hulk, he can’t be a racist!” Observe:

The second, which occurred with much less frequency, is slightly more damning. That is, it falls into the “If they can say it, why can’t I?” category of stupidity:

Not to put too fine a point on the matter, Mr. or Ms. @WolfsheadOnline, but President Barack Obama didn’t use the N-word. Yes, he did say it, but he didn’t use it. Such would imply regularity, which isn’t the case here since Obama doesn’t habitually use the N-word.
The more you know™.
