‘I Have More Class Than That’: Wasserman-Schultz Reacts to O’Malley Slamming DNC
The Democratic National Committee held an event yesterday where pretty much everyone of their candidates spoke. But it was Martin O’Malley who ended up getting the most attention for calling out the DNC itself for limiting the number of debates on their side. And it was pretty clear DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz wasn’t happy with what he said.
For one, after O’Malley finished speaking, when she shook hands with them, she wasn’t exactly smiling or embracing him. CNN’s Dan Merica took particular note of how she “spent most of the speech looking down at a table just feet from the governor” and “rarely engaged with the speech or clapped for O’Malley.”
And when he followed up with Wasserman-Schultz, she sideswiped at O’Malley over his speech:
.@DWStweets to me on what she said to O'Malley after his speech: "I just said thank you. I have more class than that."

.@DWStweets on O'Malley: "He chose to use that 15 minutes to focus on debates as opposed to his candidacy. That was certainly his right."

.@DWStweets on MOM's charge that exclusivity is illegal: "I'm quite confident that the process we have established is … completely legal."
