John Bolton Just Spent $14,000 on Twitter Ads

To paraphrase Stephen Colbert: Former UN ambassador John Bolton‘s hat may not be in the ring, but neither is it on his head. Also, the hat is full of money that he’s throwing at anti-Obama ads on Twitter.

In the past month alone, Bolton’s PAC and Super PAC, both with an estimated $3 million in their war chests, spent a combined total of $50,000. According to Business Insider, nearly $14,000 went to Twitter, because that’s obviously where all the people are getting their news and information.

But what kind of ads is Bolton running on Twitter? We searched “Benghazi” five times, and each time, saw the below ad. (After six or seven tries, Twitter began suspecting we knew what was up):
