Last week, HLN’s S.E. Cupp made a splash by calling for Melania Trump to ditch her husband, President Donald Trump amid all the drama surrounded his alleged tryst with Stormy Daniels. As part of her blistering monologue, the conservative commentator called on Melania to “do for this generation of girls what Hillary Clinton did not do for mine” and leave her husband.
Eight days after that head-turning segment, Cupp invited a prominent guest to amplify her points on Clinton, and further explore why Hillary Clinton stood by her man.
Juanita Broaddrick, who famously accused former president Bill Clinton of raping her in 1978, stopped by Unfiltered on Wednesday — and told Cupp what she’d say to Hillary Clinton if she had the chance to speak with her today.
“Why on earth did you not leave that man and report what he had done?” Broaddrick said. “You had to have known what he had done. I just want to know why.”
Broaddrick went on to share her hypothesis.
“[I]t was a power thing,” she said. “I think she wanted to go on and do some of the things that he had done. And I think it was just a power thing.”
