Kanye West Smacks Down John Legend for Challenging Trump Support: ‘Tactic Based on Fear’
Can’t stop won’t stop.
The world is in Day 2 of Kanye West‘s online blitz expressing his support for President Donald Trump. The rapper’s tweets — in which he posed proudly in a MAGA hat and voiced his own presidential ambitions — caused a major online frenzy in the last 24 hours, but not everyone is happy about it.
John Legend is among those disappointed by Yeezy’s support for the president. And given their long and storied relationship, he tried reaching out to West and asked him to think about changing his mind. West took notice and responded exactly how you might’ve expected. He tweeted out the conversation:

As for why he felt compelled to tweet himself spurning Legend, West had this to say:
I tweeted the John text to show that there are people around me that disagree with me and voice their opinion. I respect everyone’s opinion but I stand my ground.
