Limbaugh Calls Conan, Stewart Hypocrites over Charlie Hebdo Commentary

Comedians like Conan O’Brien and Jon Stewart delivered some poignant commentary about Charlie Hebdo and doing satire, but Rush Limbaugh thinks they’ve being hypocrites because of who they’ve targeted.

Stewart said that comedy shouldn’t have to be an “act of courage,” while O’Brien said the attacks are a stark reminder that comedians in the U.S. take the ability to freely satire anyone for granted.

This was very hypocritical to Limbaugh, because of the targets of the two men’s jokes. Yes, because “they’ve all made their bones attacking Sarah Palin” and have supposedly perpetrated lies about the Republican Party, they’re not being completely sincere in their commentary.

And Limbaugh also had this to say:

“They’re gonna have due respect for the Nation of Islam. They’re gonna have due respect for Al Sharpton and proper due respect for all of these militant leftist groups, including militant Islam. What is it that scares them so much about Palin? What is it that scares ’em so much about conservatism? Why do they get so scared about the Tea Party?”

Also, Stewart said last night that the attacks are a reminder that the politicians and public figures they make fun of, for all their flaws, are not the enemy. But Limbaugh probably didn’t hear that part, as he said that conservatives like Palin “are the biggest enemy the left has.”
