Limbaugh: Hollywood Hypocrites for Applauding Patricia Arquette

Rush Limbaugh thinks there’s something wildly hypocritical in the Oscars Hollywood audience applauding Patricia Arquette‘s comments about gender wage equality in her acceptance speech last night.

Arquette talked about women in the workforce making less than men, but Limbaugh pointed out that it’s an issue in Hollywood, recently discussed after revelations that Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams made less money than their male co-stars in American Hustle.

Limbaugh asked why male actors, “to show that they’re good liberals and that they’re all about fairness and that they are devoted to equality,” don’t just demand that their female co-stars be paid the same as them. The fact that they don’t, he said, is pretty hypocritical if they’re gonna be applauding Arquette.

And “until Hollywood fixes its own house, until Hollywood can make itself the exemplar of perfection,” Limbaugh concluded, they should “shut up.”
