Limbaugh: Media Desperately Defending Colbert by Attacking Me
Rush Limbaugh waded into the #CancelColbert fray on Monday, ripping the media (NPR especially) for “circling the wagons” around Stephen Colbert by going after Limbaugh and partly making Colbert’s ironic comments on Asian stereotypes about Limbaugh’s past use of such.
Limbaugh partly found it amusing that, for once, liberals were caught off guard by “this kind of reaction to them being racist or sexist or bigoted or homophobic.” But Limbaugh particularly picked up on the media going after him by saying Colbert was just doing what Limbaugh does. Sort of. He said the media did the same thing amid “Rathergate” and mocked the “erudite, sophisticated liberals” piling on him.

Limbaugh rather infamously did some mock-Chinese of his own a few years ago, and explained that away again today.
“I don’t know what they’re talking about, many times on my show and without irony, referred to Asians with the ching chong?… All I did was attempt to translate the Chinese premier, the ChiCom premier when he was speaking without a translator at the White House. Anyway, notice how to get this guy out of the mess that he’s in, apparently they have to link him to me.”
