Mark Halperin Asks Rand Paul: Do You Think You’re ‘Handsome’ on Time Cover?

The cover of Time magazine this week dubbed Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) “the most interesting man in politics,” complemented by a photo of Paul sitting in a wooden chair, staring straight-faced into the camera.

Marl Halperin of Bloomberg Politics wondered in a Thursday interview with Paul if the senator thought he looked good in it.

“Most people on the cover of Time think, ‘Do I look handsome?'” said Halperin, perhaps revealing something about himself. “Do you look handsome there? Does that look good?”

Paul, not wanting to confess that, yes, he feels sexy on the cover of Time, deflected. “You know, I don’t know,” he said. “Without my glasses I can’t even tell that’s Time.”
