MH17 Manifest Released: No Americans Identified on Flight Yet (UPDATED)
An official statement sent out Friday by Malaysia Airlines released the flight manifest and indicated that no American passengers have yet to be identified on commercial flight MH17, which was shot down in Ukraine Thursday.
The statement does, however, say that the nationalities of four remaining passengers have yet to be identified.
Here’s how the breakdown of nationalities, according to the airline:
· 189 Netherlands
· 44 Malaysia
· 27 Australia
· 12 Indonensia
· 9 UK
· 4 Belgium
· 4 Germany
· 3 Philippines
· 1 Canada
· 1 New Zealand
This news comes in contrast to Thursday reports indicating 23 Americans were aboard the flight.
All 298 people aboard the plane died in the crash.
UPDATE — 11:58 a.m. ET: During his address before the White House Press Corps, President Obama confirmed that there was one American citizen on-board MH17.
