Michelle Obama Mixes Up Candidate Biographies in Campaign Speech

Michelle Obama stumped this week for Colorado Senator Mark Udall, who’s in a tight election race against Republican Congressman Cory Gardner. Obama said, “As a fifth-generation Coloradan, Mark understands what makes this state special. He understands the values of independence and fairness, all the things that folks here believe in.”

There’s just one tiny problem: he’s not a fifth-generation Coloradan.

Yes, the First Lady mistakenly referred to Udall, an Arizona native, as a fifth-generation Coloradan. Now, The Daily Caller noted yesterday that there is one candidate in the race who fits that description: Gardner.
