Minnesota Governor Calls on Vikings to Suspend Adrian Peterson
The Minnesota Vikings have cleared Adrian Peterson to play next weekend, in spite of his child abuse charges, but now Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has weighed in with a strong call on the Vikings to suspend him.
In his statement, Dayton says while Peterson deserves to be innocent until proven guilty, his actions “are a public embarrassment to the Vikings organization and the State of Minnesota.”
Dayton argues that the Vikings should suspend Peterson immediately, while still expressing his support for the team.
Last night a new report said Peterson beat another one of his young children, and the Radisson hotel chain withdrew its sponsorship of the team.
