N.H. High School Teacher Removed from Classroom After Dancing to Anti-Trump Song

facepalmA Portsmouth, New Hampshire high school teacher was removed from her classroom following an episode in which she dressed up as Donald Trump and began dancing to the song “FDT.” (The “DT” refers to the candidate’s initials; you can probably figure out the rest.)

The teacher, Kara Kelley, “is not presently in the classroom,” the district’s superintendent Stephen Zadravec told reporters. Zadravec added that the matter was under investigation. “There is no place for offensive language in our school community, nor is it our practice in school to support or discredit political candidates.”

Cell phone video of the teacher dancing along with the song subsequently emerged on Facebook.

One student told Portsmouth Herald, “She’s dressed up every year that I can remember, and this year she dressed up as Trump. Another student played the song, not her. Yes, she danced to it, but she did in no way intentionally play the song.”

The song from rappers YG and Nipsey Hussle dropped in March and includes explicit lyrics mocking Trump as “a “Comedy Central-ass n****” who “spent his trust money on the vote” among other things.
