New ISIS Propaganda Video Features Times Square; NYPD: No ‘Specific Threat’
A new ISIS propaganda video features images of Times Square, and the NYPD immediately assuaged concerns about a potential targeting of New York City.
According to NBC New York, the video celebrates the Paris attacks and makes threats against both France and the United States. Lots of images are seen in the video, including of Times Square.
The NYPD said in a statement, “While there is no current or specific threat to the City at this time, we will remain at a heightened state of vigilance and will continue to work with the FBI, the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the entire intelligence community to keep the City of New York safe.”
And the New York branch of the FBI assuaged people’s concerns as well:
We are aware of the reporting of ongoing terrorist threats to NYC, to include the newly-released ISIS video involving Times Square…
