Nike Suspends Contract with Adrian Peterson

Hours after the Minnesota Vikings indefinitely suspended Adrian Peterson over his child abuse indictment, Nike announced they’re suspending their endorsement contract with Peterson.

Nike said in a statement that they don’t condone child abuse and have “shared our concerns with the NFL.” Here’s the full statement, from ESPN reporter Darren Rovell:

Peterson had spoken out earlier this week insisting he is not a child abuser. That statement came hours before a new report that Peterson had beaten another one of his four-year-old children.
