‘No Ma’am’: Lindsey Graham Corrects Someone Who Calls Obama a ‘Traitor’
Sen. Lindsey Graham defended President Obama Friday, correcting a supporter when she insisted the president is a “traitor.”
Criticizing Obama for his role in the Iran nuclear trade deal, the woman shouted “he’s a traitor!” over the crowd at the Sunshine Summit in Florida.
“No, ma’am, he’s not a traitor,” Graham responded, clarifying that the president “just doesn’t know what he’s doing.”
Graham told the audience the Obama administration’s foreign policy made the United States more susceptible to terrorism, and deteriorated the nation’s role as a world leader.
“The last thing you want to do is continue the foreign policy of Barack Obama,” Graham said, adding that while he doesn’t “want a war with Iran,” he is fearful of “the most radical, religious extremist nation in the region” acquiring nuclear weapons and using them on the United States and its allies.
“The only reason they haven’t done more damage to the world is because they just don’t have the capabilities yet,” Graham declared, insisting he has “never feared another 9/11 more than I have at this moment.”
“The next president needs to know what they’re doing or we’re going to pay a heavy price,” Graham concluded.
Candidates responding to things people have yelled about the president have been getting attention ever since Donald Trump declined to do it when someone called Obama a Muslim.
