With North Korea in the forefront of foreign policy conversations due to its recent testing of an intercontinental ballistic missile, Fox Business host Trish Regan floated out the assassination option to solve the tensions with the reclusive country.
Appearing on Fox News’ Outnumbered this afternoon, Regan noted that she hopes that America doesn’t have to get itself involved in military action against North Korea in response to the country’s aggression. Instead, she suggested that perhaps we should just send in some assassins to take out North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.
“There’s one other option here that we haven’t talked about,” she stated. “I know you’re not supposed to go out…and take out a leader because of international rules, decorum, et cetera, that we have. But if there is a way to get in and get rid of this crazy fat kid — as you said Meghan [McCain] — then wouldn’t that do a lot in terms of saving a lot of lives here?”
Regan isn’t the first Fox personality to toss out the possibility of assassinating another world leader as a way of solving the problems with North Korea. Last night on The Five, Jesse Watters said that the “only legitimate option is an assassination attempt or a coup.”
Following North Korea’s latest missile test, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to complain about Kim Jong-Un, asking if he had anything better to do. Meanwhile, the US and South Korea conducted joint missile tests in response.
