Phoenix Anti-Islam Rally Organizer Vows to Arrest Sen. Debbie Stabenow

A man who famously organized an anti-Islam rally outside of an Islamic Center in Phoenix, Arizona last May wants to arrest Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Michigan) because she voted for the Iran Deal.

According to Roll Call, Jon Ritzheimer published an open letter on Monday, in which he outlined his plans and supposedly allied himself with the Oath Keepers militia by name.

“We are planning on arresting Senator Debbie Stabenow, who voted yes to the Iran Nuke Deal. She will be arrested for treason under Article 3 Section 3 of the Constitution,” he writes, adding: “We have chosen her as our first target due to our strong ties with the Michigan State Militia and their lax gun laws that will allow us to operate in a manner necessary for an operation like this.”

After arresting the Michigan senator, Ritzheimer says that he and his group will “move across the country and arrest everyone involved with the Iran Nuke Deal.”

Stabenow’s office did not offer a comment on the matter when Roll Call inquired. However, Capt. Kimberly Schneider of the U.S. Capitol Police did say that they “are aware and are working with local law enforcement in Michigan on the matter.”

Meanwhile, Ritzheimer noted in his letter that his group had notified the proper law enforcement authorities of their intentions. And they’re seeking monetary donations again, of course.
