Piers Morgan on Michelle Fields Incident: It Was ‘Utterly Tame and Utterly Pointless’
Piers Morgan appeared on On the Record tonight to tell Greta Van Susteren about his one-sided feud with Michelle Fields. He has already explained his views on Twitter when he told Fields to “toughen up” about her alleged assault at the hands of Donald Trump‘s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.
While there, he told Van Susteren that he found the whole situation “one of the most pathetic things [he had] ever seen.” He went on to say that what he could see on the security footage was just “the run-of-the-mill scrum” that follows presidential candidates.
Watch:
He called the video “utterly tame and utterly pointless,” then used the incident as an opportunity to compliment Van Susteren, saying she was “a tough cookie” who would have brushed off being grabbed by Lewandowski in order to get back in there and ask Trump more questions. Van Susteren said she’d accept the compliment but moved on to a new topic.
