Pizza Delivery Industry Sees a Boost as Americans Are Too Scared to Leave Their Homes
Civil unrest is good news for the pizza delivery sector.
Since more and more diners are choosing to stay off the streets and eat in, market analysts are upgrading Papa John’s parent corporation, MarketWatch reported.
“After speaking with several large operators and industry contacts, we believe the recent decline in casual dining restaurant segment fundamentals—traffic down 3% to 5% the past several weeks—may be the result of consumers eating more at home amid the current political/social backdrop, which we believe could last through the November election,” analysts from KeyBanc Capital Markets wrote.
The GOP has made restoring law and order on the streets of America a cornerstone of their campaign — and we can only speculate that the pizza lobby sees this as unwelcome news.
