President Obama Called Donald Trump to Offer Congratulations for Winning the Election
President Obama has offered Donald Trump his congratulations after the mogul pulled off an incredible upset to win the 2016 presidential election.
Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway says that she doesn’t know what the two of them talked about, according to Associated Press, but that it was a “very nice” discussion, and that they will possibly meet on Thursday.
Press Secretary Josh Earnest released a statement from the White House this morning:

Trump’s victory is likely to be a major blow to Obama’s legacy, seeing as the mogul is staunchly against many of his predecessor’s positions. Obama used many of his recent days to travel across the country and campaign on behalf of his former secretary of state and Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton.
Last night, Obama gave an address to remind Americans that the sun would come up for everyone the next day, whether their preferred candidate won or lost. While Clinton chose not to give her concession speech last night, she did call Trump to admit her defeat.
