Rachel Maddow Bashes ‘Contentious’ and ‘Incomprehensible’ Debate
Rachel Maddow sharply criticized Wednesday night’s Vice Presidential debate for being “contentious, and honestly, at times, incomprehensible.”
“A lot of the time, those of us watching on television had no idea what was being said,” Maddow said. “Because not only were both men speaking over each other, the moderator was speaking over both of the candidates. And nobody was yielding to anybody else.”
Maddow believes that the constant crosstalk did not reflect well on any of the participants.
“There were long stretches of time when there were three voices at once, and I don’t think you could pick out any intelligible words.”
