Ralph Nader: Pelosi and Dem Leadership Should Step Down to ‘Save the Country’
Ralph Nader doesn’t like either of the two big parties very much, but on Election Day today, the consumer advocate recommended that current Democratic leadership has to go for the good of the country and bring in new faces who can better take down the GOP.
He singled out Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, and Steve Israel in particular. The first two are the Democratic leaders in the House, while the third is the head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (that group flooding your inbox with increasingly desperate emails for the past few months).
Nader said in a statement that they all should “step down from their posts and invite fresh leadership who can save the country from the ravages of today’s Republican party.” And that’s not all, because he also lambasted their inability to “reverse a growing Republican majority espousing cruel, brutish and harmful policies.”
The Democrats, of course, are poised to do rather badly in tonight’s midterm elections.
