Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Calls Sen. Inhofe ‘Big Oil’s Top Call Girl’

We’ve not yet stopped talking about Rush Limbaugh, and already there’s more name calling. This time from Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a fellow radio host (and environmental activist). In a tweet Tuesday night, Kennedy referred to Senator James Inhofe as a “prostitute” and “big oil’s top call girl.”

Kennedy’s tweet:

The tweet was evidently in response to a letter the senator sent to EPA administrator Lisa Jackson, about President Obama‘s emissions standards. Politico notes that Inhofe spokesman Matt Dempsey said Kennedy’s remark went too far: “It’s hard to believe that Robert Kennedy Jr. would choose to use such language, especially this week…I bet he now regrets it.”

Hardly. Kennedy told Politico he stands by his statement and underlined the difference between him and Limbaugh: “The context with which Mr. Limbaugh used it was wrong and immoral … But it’s not immoral in using it to apply to a politician who is selling his office.”

Have a tip we should know?
