Run the Jewels’ El-P Has a Problem With Kevin Hart-Produced Movie Called Run the Jewels

Kevin Hart is basically a comedy rock star these days. He’s embarking on a giant stand-up tour later this year and he just did a movie with The Rock. And now he’s producing a movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter, about rappers attempting to rob a giant hip-hop mogul.

The name of the movie is Run the Jewels. And yes, that should be immediately familiar to you.

The hip-hop duo of Killer Mike and El-P has become massively popular in the last few years. And aside from Run the Jewels being their name, their albums have been titled Run the Jewels and Run the Jewels 2.

And so El-P has a problem with Hart’s movie:

For what it’s worth, “run the jewels” is also considered a colloquialism for robbing someone.
