Rupert Murdoch Tweets: ‘Paul Ryan Almost Perfect Choice’ For VP

Now that Mitt Romney has picked his running mate, back-handed compliments from the media are in full swing. News Corporation CEO Rupert Murdoch is no exception, having tweeted Saturday morning that, Paul Ryan is the “almost perfect choice” for the role:

So who is Mr. (or Ms.) Perfect, then? Perhaps his reservations have more to do with the Romney campaign in general though, as the Australian media man tore apart the Republican presidential candidate earlier this summer. Murdoch said of Romney:

Given Murdoch’s consistent rough treatment of the GOP presidential candidate, the “almost perfect choice” comment is probably the nicest thing the Romney campaign is going to get out of the news mogul.
