Rush Limbaugh: Michelle Obama Looks Like Oprah ‘From the Rear’

In a segment that probably worked better for his online subscription viewers than the majority of people listening on the radio, Rush Limbaugh briefly played the role of fashion police Wednesday morning, offering his unique take on First Lady Michelle Obama’s dress from last night’s state dinner. “That’s not Oprah,” Limbaugh informed his listeners. “Don’t confuse — That’s Michelle Obama.”

Limbaugh spent most of his state dinner coverage listing off how much everything cost, including an estimated $12,000 for the first lady’s dress. He contrasted those costs with President Barack Obama’s larger message against income inequality.

He also had some less-than-kind words for French President François Hollande, who he first called a “socialist dictator” before correcting himself, replacing the word “dictator” with “president.” Limbaugh made fun of Hollande for appearing small standing next to Michelle Obama.

“I saw a picture of this from the rear,” Limbaugh explained, “that’s why I thought it was Oprah, I did.” He asked his viewers to imagine the photo from behind so they too could pretend it was Oprah Winfrey and not the first lady of the United States.
