Santa Claus Shot by a Pellet Gun During Toy Giveaway

It takes a real grinch to shoot Santa Claus the day before Christmas, but that’s precisely what happened to one man dressed as Saint Nick during a toy giveaway in Washington D.C.; he was struck by a pellet gun and had to go to the hospital. And the strangest part is that the entire thing was caught on camera.

A photographer from WJLA was speaking to the man in the big red suit, who was participating in a toy giveaway, when he was suddenly struck in the upper back by a pellet gun. People in the immediate area came over to see if he was all right, and Santa was sent to the hospital.

But if movies have taught us anything, the person who shot Santa in the first place is going to fill in for him tonight and learn a valuable lesson about peace on earth and goodwill toward men in the meantime.
