Scott Walker Quietly Announces Presidential Run

Republican Governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker announced on Twitter Friday that he is running for president:

Earlier in the day, the campaign released Walker’s official campaign logo. Walker’s official presidential announcement was expected for next Monday, when he is scheduled to give a speech in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Despite being up for forty minutes, the announcement tweet only has 9 retweets as of this writing. The reason the tweet hasn’t taken off isn’t clear, but it also does not show up on Walker’s Twitter profile.
