Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl Will Return to the U.S. Tomorrow

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has been receiving medical treatment in Germany after his release from captivity in Afghanistan, but according to senior defense officials, Bergdahl will return to the United States tomorrow. Bergdahl will travel from Germany to the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he will continue to receive treatment.

Bergdahl is not expected to make any public appearances yet, and the media will not get anywhere close to him while he is still in recovery.

The nation has learned a lot about Bergdahl since his release, much of it negative. His platoon mates are calling him a deserter and his own hometown cancelled a planned celebration in honor of his return home. Now that Bergdahl’s returning to the U.S., it’s only a matter of time before we hear his side of the story.
