Sinclair-Owned Station Tweets They Chose Not to Air That Promo Announcement

One Sinclair-owned station made a point of announcing today that they did not air that message criticizing fake news that many other stations did.

By now you’ve probably seen the viral Deadspin video splicing together footage of all those anchors reading that same statement about other news outlets engaging in biased and false reporting.

Journalists at many Sinclair-owned stations anonymously expressed their concerns and one anchor criticized President Trump‘s tweet defending Sinclair.

Well, Fox 47 Madison tweeted a statement saying they did not air it:

In response to the Sinclair message aired: "WMSN/FOX47 Madison did not air the Sinclair promotional announcement during our 9pm news this weekend. Rather, we stayed true to our commitment to provide our Madison area viewers local news, weather and sports of interest to them." pic.twitter.com/MdQ568cWrH
