Singer Tweets She Was Asked To Sing For ‘Tyrant’ Trump’s Inauguration
As the inauguration of Donald Trump draws closer and closer, questions about who, exactly, will be performing and attending are still abundant.
Like Rebecca Ferguson and Elton John, a singer named Charlotte Church has made it very clear that she won’t be performing.
@realDonaldTrump Your staff have asked me to sing at your inauguration, a simple Internet search would show I think you’re a tyrant. Bye????
— Charlotte Church (@charlottechurch) January 10, 2017
Similarly to Ferguson, she said she was approached but isn’t interested. Further, she, like Ferguson and John, is not American; she’s from Wales.
Should Church change her mind and perform for the man she calls a “tyrant,” she could still find a nice dress to wear. In spite of Trump’s claims, the stores in D.C. are not sold out of frocks due to any unusual demand ahead of the inauguration.
