‘Sit Down and Be Quiet!’: Obama Scolds Crowd for Shouting Down Protester

A protester interrupted President Obama‘s speech at a Hillary Clinton rally today, but it was the people who responded to the protester that got the president to go off.

The crowd started to shout and chant “Hillary!” and Obama shouted, “Hey! I told you to focus and you’re not focused right now! Listen to what I’m saying!”

People kept going and Obama had to shout “Hold up!” various times and “Everybody sit down and be quiet for a second!”

“You’ve got an older gentleman who is supporting his candidate,” the president said. “He’s not doing nothing, you don’t have to worry about him! This is what I mean about folks not being focused!”

He declared that America is supposed to value free speech and said the man deserved respect as an elder and a veteran.
