Dick Costolo said on Thursday that he would step down as Twitter’s CEO at the end of the month, leaving co-founder Jack Dorsey to find a replacement. Jack Dorsey said in a press conference that the company was looking both inside and out for someone “who really uses and loves the product in every single way.” If Dorsey will consult his own product, however, he might notice that one candidate has announced his interest for the job: Snoop Dogg.
Im ready to lead @twitter !! #SnoopforCEO

It is likely that the “Doggfather” is only kidding, but the rapper has already shown his brand loyalty with his #SnoopforCEO campaign, plus he has an initial business strategy:
First order of Business! Get that Moolah! #SnoopforCEO @twitter
— Snoop Dogg (@SnoopDogg) June 11, 2015
Snoop’s followers quickly got on board with the idea, retweeting and giving their support across the Twitterverse.
.@SnoopDogg first order: a name change… maybe @Twizzzzzzzz and up @Twitter max to 420 characters of course. #SnoopForCEO

Other interested candidates so far include New York Times journalist, Farhad Manjoo, and tech reporter, Ed Bolt. As of Thursday night, they have not seen the retweet count to match Snoop:
This really is my job to lose. https://t.co/N2qY44nHaG

If this tweet gets 20,000 RTs, @jack said I could be the new Twitter CEO.

Twitter has not tweeted a response to Snoop yet.
