Stallone ‘Flattered’ Trump’s Reportedly Considering Him for NEA, But Turns It Down
A recent report said that President-elect Donald Trump is considering Sylvester Stallone to lead the National Endowment for the Arts. The Daily Mail said that Trump approached Stallone about it.
Well, Stallone himself responded in a statement obtained by People Magazine saying he has no interest in the job:
“I am incredibly flattered to have been suggested to be involved with the National Endowment of the Arts. However I believe I could be more effective by bringing national attention to returning military personnel in an effort to find gainful employment, suitable housing and financial assistance these heroes respectfully deserve.”
Back in January, Stallone said he loves Trump and considers him a “bigger than life” personality, but added, “I don’t know how that translates to running the world.”
