(Updated) Suspicious Cargo Package Being Investigated At Boston’s Logan Airport

All the major airports across the nation have been on heightened alert for their cargo areas since a UPS bomb threat from Yemen occurred last month. It appears that another cargo area is being investigated, this time at Boston’s Logan Airport, confirm suspicions that there appears to be actionable intelligence among the nation’s anti-terrorism efforts.

WCVBTV reports:

Massport officials said a cargo area at Logan International Airport was being evacuated as a precaution Tuesday afternoon while investigators examined a suspicious item discovered there.

They said it was the Delta Airlines cargo area located on Harborside Drive, well away from any passenger areas at the airport.

There was no immediate word on what the item was but officials said the evacuation was triggered by a state police K-9 unit dog picking up a scent at the cargo area.

No injuries were reported.
