Taylor Swift Released an 8-Second Single of Static That Became Canada’s #1 Single
On Tuesday morning, Taylor Swift dropped her newest single from her upcoming album 1989, and, like all Taylor Swift singles, it is rocketing up the charts. It even reached number one on Canada’s iTunes bestseller list, before it was mysteriously removed this morning.
Here, for your pop enjoyment, is “Track 3” — eight seconds of nothing but static:
The National Post speculated that the song appeared on iTunes due to a glitch, but it’s pretty obvious that this song was totally based on her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal. Our own sources say the track is the outro instrumental from another song that was somehow split and released by accident.
