Toobin: Ignore the ‘Very Annoying Guy Yelling About How He Hates’ Gays at SCOTUS

One peril of cable news’ habit of making its correspondents stand in front of the large objects representing what they’re reporting on: sometimes it gets loud, as it did when legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin tried to discuss the Supreme Court’s oral arguments on same-sex marriage case over a man yelling into a PA system.

New Day host Alisyn Camerota wondered about what appeared to be quite the racket behind him. “You hear one person yelling in a loud speaker,” Toobin said. “So I really wouldn’t draw any conclusions about the state of public opinion, really about the state of anything, except one very annoying guy yelling about how much he hates homosexuality.”
