Toys R Us Pulls Breaking Bad Toys After Complaints
Mere days after complaints from one concerned parent that blossomed into an online outcry, Toys R Us has decided to pull Breaking Bad toys from its stores. I guess they couldn’t handle Heisenberg cooking in their territory…
Susan Myers complained about Toys R Us stocking toys from a TV show about drug manufacturing and one man’s moral decay as he makes bad choice after bad choice to satisfy his own self. But never mind that second thing, let’s focus on the drugs!
Toys R Us confirmed today that they’re pulling the toys from their stores after the complaints. As their statement explained, “Let’s just say, the action figures have taken an indefinite sabbatical.”
The toy chain had previously explained that it wasn’t a big deal since the toys were featured in the more adult section of their stores.
Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston had responded to the complaints yesterday with this tweet:
"Florida mom petitions against Toys 'R Us over Breaking Bad action figures." I'm so mad, I'm burning my Florida Mom action figure in protest
— Bryan Cranston (@BryanCranston) October 20, 2014
What’s he gonna do now, ban Florida moms?
