Trump on Roger Ailes: ‘I Know How Much He’s Helped’ the Women ‘Complaining’ About Him
Donald Trump weighed in on Reger Ailes‘ resignation in an interview taped for Meet the Press today.
Trump has been friendly with Ailes for years, and according to Politico, he flatly denied those rumors that Ailes may end up helping out his campaign now that he’s no longer Chairman & CEO of Fox News.
And then, of course, there’s the reason Ailes is being ousted in the first place: those multiple allegations of sexual harassment.
A transcript from the interview reveals that while Trump didn’t want to comment, he did say, “I can tell you that some of the women that are complaining, I know how much he’s helped them. And even recently. And when they write books that are fairly recently released, and they say wonderful things about him.”
