Trump Organization Reportedly Selling New Merch Made in China

While President Donald Trump once said that China is “raping” the US in trade, it seems his own company is contributing to what he view as “unfair” trade deal as Trumpstore.com has started selling new products made in the communist country.
As first reported by The Daily Beast, the Trump Organization’s website is selling golf caps from Bangladesh with the company’s branding stitched into the front for $32. However, the site does not disclose the fact that these hats were made overseas, and the only origin indicator that can be found on their webpage states that these products are “decorated in the USA” — but not made in the US.
Additionally, the online store sells a made-in-China coin bank shaped like a gold brick for $25 with the Trump name branded across it. This product’s information section does not state what country it is manufactured in.
This is not the first time the president’s seemingly hypocritical stance on America’s manufacturing woes have been noticed, as the popular comedic website and YouTube channel Funny or Die made a viral video joking about Trump’s products being made in Mexico.
While the Trump brand is controlled by two sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., the president opted to remain as owner despite the possible conflict of interests it represents. Furthermore, the merch specific website is relatively new, as prior to spring of this year Trump products could only be purchased on the Trump Tower web page.
While these Trump-branded products have raised questions regarding just how detached the president is from his business empire, even more questions arise when looking at his numerous properties and the people who may spend money at them in the hopes of getting administration’s attention.
