Trump Reportedly Expected to Hire Outside Attorney to Handle Russia Probe
According to a new report by CNN, President Donald Trump is expected to hire a private attorney to represent him in matters related to the investigation into potential collusion between Russia and his campaign. The lawyer, Marc Kasowitz, has worked for Trump on a number of cases over the past 15 years.
This follows news that White House lawyers have been looking at impeachment procedures following the appointment of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as special counsel in the Russia probe. Over the past week, a number of damaging reports have rocked the White House, leading many Democrats — and some Republicans — to begin to utter the dreaded I-word.
According to CNN, Kasowitz has not responded to any requests for comment.
