Trump Slams ABC Over Botched Chyron Claiming Manafort Pleaded Guilty to Manslaughter: ‘#StopTheBias’
This time, it actually was Fake News. And President Donald Trump was all over it.
Earlier, we posted about ABC posted an incorrect chyron during its special report covering President Donald Trump’s announcement of an executive order to end his child separation policy. The chyron made the shocking, untrue statement that former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort had pleaded guilty to five counts of manslaughter.
The president bashed ABC for the error.
“Look what Fake ABC News put out,” Trump wrote. “I guess they had it prepared from the 13 Angry Democrats leading the Witch Hunt! #StopTheBias”

ABC apologized for the mistake, but has not yet explained how it was broadcast.
“We apologize to our viewers and to Mr. Manafort,” the network said in a Tweet from its PR account. “There simply is no excuse for this sort of mistake.”
