Donald Trump launched his new social media platform today, though the rollout is seeing a lot of mockery thanks to some early bumps out of the gate.

Months after Trump was banned from mainstream social platforms for inciting the storming of the U.S. Capitol, the former president touted the upcoming formation of a new online social forum as an extension of his recurring fights with tech companies. Devin Nunes, CEO of the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) says the website won’t be fully operational until the end of next month, but the site went live on Apple’s App Store in time for Presidents Day.

The launch, however, seems to be experiencing a few hiccups.

Even though Truth Social can be accessed through Apple, Vice News has noted that it’s not available on Android, nor does it have its own web page. For those who can access the platform, some have run into error messages while trying to create accounts, and there’s an apparent backlog since the waitlist for joining is over 100,000 people long as of this writing.

These technical flaws and others come after a reporter for The Daily Dot shared that he was able to access Truth Social’s beta version and register as “@realDonaldTrump,” which raises questions about the platform’s security. Truth Social also comes after websites like Gab, Parler and Rumble all previously touted themselves as pro-free speech alternatives to Twitter, but have yet to approach the popularity of the original.

As you might expect, Truth Social’s less-than-stellar launch has drawn ridicule:
