Twitter Goes Nuts After Trump Hints at Firing Mueller: ‘Decides to Step On’ His North Korea Win

President Trump raised a lot of eyebrows Friday night with a not-so-cryptic tweet about Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
In the wake of the release of former FBI Director James Comey’s memos, it has been reported that at least two out of the seven contained classified information, something DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz is now investigating.
But despite the addition of Rudy Giuliani to his legal team in hopes to help wrap up Mueller’s investigation, Trump hinted at taking a faster route.
James Comey illegally leaked classified documents to the press in order to generate a Special Council? Therefore, the Special Council was established based on an illegal act? Really, does everybody know what that means?

The document he leaked was not classified, as shown when released yesterday by Congress https://t.co/CGDCN1YiF2

Trump's now creating a situation where if he doesn't fire Rosenstein to have Mueller dismissed, he'll lose all credibility with his base.
And if he does fire Roesenstein to have Mueller dismissed, he'll lose the Presidency. https://t.co/A89zX74kb7

Many have pointed out that this tweet takes away from the foreign policy “win” with North Korea announcing they are suspending nuclear tests until they have their summit with South Korea.
Big headlines re North Korea tonight and instead of reveling in the moment….. https://t.co/ORiHDKuUnU
