Twitter Trolls ‘Senator Kid Rock’ After Singer’s Latest Tweet: ‘I’m Thinking Judiciary Committee’

Since Kid Rock joined the race for Senate there has been many jokes and criticisms levied against him, now a new tweet has opened the floodgates for new attacks.

Robert James Ritchie, who goes by Kid Rock, is an American singer known for his music in the rap and rock genres. Kid Rock’s campaign, not to be confused with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson‘s presidential campaign, was announced  at a Michigan Republican Party convention in February. After that, the website www.kidrockforsenate.com emerged, with Kid Rock announcing, “if I decide to throw my hat in the ring for US Senate, believe me… it’s game on mthrfkers.” However, it was unknown if the site was real until Kid Rock confirmed it on his Twitter July 12 that the answer is an “absolute YES.”

After using his social media platform to announce his political campaign, he most recently used it to post this picture:

It’s unclear what exactly is happening in this image — in the end of course, it doesn’t really matter.

Despite the criticism, Kid Rock appears to actually have a good chance, according to a poll last week by Trafalgar Group. They asked 1,078 Michigan voters and found that 49.62 percent would vote for Kid Rock in the primary election, and only coming 2 percent behind senior Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow in the general election.

Kid Rock has already started to market his run, making a website full of “Kid Rock for Senate” merchandise for all his loyal supporter to buy.
